In 1906 William Pendray commissioned Moore & Whittington of Fernwood to construct a new factory on Laurel Point, Victoria for his recently acquired British Columbia franchise of the Canada Paint Company, a company that had been selling ready-mixed paint since 1893. Pendray renamed the paint company the British American Paint Company. At its peak BAPCO employed 150 workers and was doing over $1,000,000 in business annually. BAPCO’s paints were famous across western Canada and for some years was the largest paint manufacturer west of Toronto and north of San Francisco. On January 1, 1966 the Pendray family sold BAPCO to Canadian Industries Limited (CIL).
Early on in BAPCO's history there's not much of a logo. At times a 3D hand-painted graphic appears. Sometime later a more disctinct diamond logo can be found. My main point of reference is a lovely GMC panel wagon with the diamond logo, the slogan "Beauty in Every Can" and some other questionable graphics promoting the brands Satin Glo line of paint.

I reimagined the brand around the beauty in every can idea. Four colours are used to make a gradient, blob like dolop of paint. At other times it's more like brush strokes. This is supposed to give the impression of vibrant, bold colours. And for fun I made a paint bucket and brush mascot team fill out things out.
